Last year at @clarity_conf my entire perspective about the design community changed, it was a humbling experience where I met fantastic people and learned every minute of it. Does anyone have other examples of conferences that changed something for them? โœจ

Here's a quick link to my talk slides with notes! If you're a perfectionist, this talk is for you. Thanks to @benotist for having editable notes ๐Ÿ’–

Glad I caught this slide from @cattsmall before the power went out again. ๐Ÿ˜€

Watching @cattsmall superhero it through her presentation in the midst of a power outage as still be smart, funny, and just SO GOOD!

RT @MinaMarkham

The power goes out during @cattsmallโ€™s talk and she just keeps going. Completely unfazed. Such a pro.

BTW this is a fantastic presentation. Great content. I just have to move further back after this talk. :)

If your company brand uses white, please consider switching to a grey or black. Also consider the photos you use.

If someone is prone to headaches triggered by bright lights and colors, and are sitting on the front row, (and depending on the screen being used), it can be blinding and cause eye sensitivity. Also some screens make a buzzing sound on bright slides which can add to it.

Recently at the @womentalkdesign panel about conferences, I suggested using dark slides instead of light slides because it minimizes screen display/power issues (a pattern I've seen in my 13 years of speaking). Plus easier on the eyes.

Now I have more reasons. (Thread)
